The dog is always last on the list
Most owners leave the dog too late in the planning. Hotels, flights, restaurants — all booked. The dog, figured out last minute.
Your dog won't understand that you decided someone was trustworthy from your computer. They need to feel it. That takes a familiar face, and a familiar face takes a little extra time.
Friction has a reason
When things are last minute, my screening process starts to feel like friction. It's not. It's how I make sure the first day goes well for your dog — not just for you.
You're probably closer than you think
If you're visiting the Algarve, there's a good chance you're passing right by me. Every town on the coast shares the N125 or the A2 — Portimão, Lagos, Sagres to the west, Albufeira to the east. Pêra sits in the middle of all of it. If you're heading to Quinta do Lago or Faro, you're not far once you come off the A2.
I can work with short notice
I understand the Algarve is different. People arrive with their dogs and have two days, not two weeks. I can work with that, but I need something from you too. A video call helps. Seeing your dog on camera helps. Neither confirms a place — but both move things forward.
If you're planning a trip to Portugal and your dog is part of it, the earlier you reach out, the more I can do for you.
